Clarence Blue are one of the most sucsessful 8 Ball clubs to play in the South East, winning five (5) A grade premierships in a row, a feat that will probably not be matched yet alone beaten. The Clarence Blue was formed from the team from the Horseshoe Inn that was established in 1973 and went on to dominate Eastern Shore 8 Ball from 1986 until 2000, in that period of time they played in every A Grand Final except for 1991, winning eight (8) premierships and runner up in a further six (6), as well as winning A Grade premierships they also won three (3) B Grade Premierships and were Runner Up in another one in the period 1985 - 89. The only award the club never won was the State Teams Event. The Clarence Hotel had a Team of the Century made up which has been reproduced below.
