2012 State Singles Champion
On Saturday August 4th Eightball Tasmania held the state singles championship. The event attracted a very good field of players, the final was won by the up & coming junior player Cale Barrett. Cale defeated David Lee in the final. At 16 years of age Cale has a huge future ahead of himself, he aslo has represented Australia at the Junior World Championships earlier in the year, been a regular member of the State Open team, is the current Australian Under 15 Snooker Champion & runner up in the Aust U15 Billiards Championship, he made the semi finals of the Oceania Under 21 Snooker Championship losing to the eventual winner former Tasmanian player Kurt Dunham. Cale won the NW Coast Snooker Championship last week.

Premier League Singles Championship
This year the association decided to include a new event to the season, the Premier League Singles Championship, this turned out to be a huge success with 30 players nominating to play at the three venues. After the two weeks of qualifying the final nine (9) players to compete at the Village Green Tavern in the final on August 18th have been confirmed.The final group consists of playing for the championship.
